Vayer.eu

Modern website for a premium bathroom fixtures brand

About the project

The project involved creating a new website for Vayer – a Polish premium bathroom fixtures manufacturer.

The goal was to build a brand-and-sales oriented platform that would cohesively present the brand’s product portfolio and technological advantages, while simultaneously reaching three distinct audience segments:

  1. Individual customers
  2. Architects and interior designers
  3. B2B partners

The new website was designed around an extensive information architecture, including among others a well-organized product catalog, dedicated zones for each audience segment, and a downloadable materials hub (brochures, technical sheets, graphic files).

Business goal

The main objective of the project was to create a website that would genuinely strengthen the brand’s positioning in the premium segment and translate into an increase in inquiries from architects, bathroom showrooms, and investors.

The implementation was meant to enable:

  • presentation of the full product portfolio organized into clear categories,
  • highlighting the brand’s proprietary technologies as a key differentiator against competitors,
  • creation of dedicated zones for architects and B2B partners with access to materials, catalogs, and technical files,
  • enrichment of product pages with photo galleries, technical specifications, variants, and downloadable files,
  • preparing the website for further development, including multilingual versions and future e-commerce functionality.
Design challenges

One of the main challenges was organizing the extensive but inconsistent product category structure inherited from the previous version of the website. This required consolidating a dozen or so subcategories into a clear layout, while maintaining the full scope of the offer and improving navigation comfort for users.

Another key challenge was designing product cards covering multiple variants of the same product in such a way that users could easily reach the desired version.

An additional challenge was designing a flexible process for implementing product data and graphic assets delivered in stages by the client, so that content updates wouldn’t require code modifications or service interruptions.

Our Approach – Collaboration Process

Work began with workshops with the client, during which the information architecture and functional scope of the website were refined.

Based on this, a UX/UI design was developed, covering among others the homepage, product listing and detail pages, as well as dedicated zones for each audience group.

The development layer was built on WordPress, enabling efficient content and product catalog management without the need to involve developers for ongoing offer updates. The new website also supports blog content creation.

The implementation was carried out iteratively — successive page and section templates were submitted for client approval on a staging environment, allowing feedback to be gathered and adjustments to be made continuously before the production launch.

Architecture and technologies

The website was built on WordPress as the CMS, ensuring flexibility in managing product structure, categories, and marketing content while maintaining ease of daily operation.

Technology Stack:

  • Component Technology
  • CMS WordPress
  • Database MariaDB
  • Server Apache
  • Environment Docker

The entire environment was containerized using Docker, facilitating management of development, testing, and production environments while ensuring deployment consistency.

The website was built and optimized for technical SEO – including meta tag configuration, schema.org markup, a clean URL structure, an XML sitemap, and page-speed optimization, supporting the site’s visibility in search engine results.

Performance and safety

Due to the extensive product catalog, covering multiple categories, variants, and downloadable files, a key element of the work was optimizing the performance of product listing and filtering.

Implemented solutions included among others environment containerization (Docker), optimization of MariaDB database queries, and Apache server configuration to handle traffic and cache static resources.

Regarding security, mechanisms offered by WordPress and adapted technologies were utilized, including access control to the administrative panel and regular updates of system components.

  • A clear structure of categories and product cards facilitating navigation for individual customers and B2B partners.
  • Dedicated zones for architects and inspiration sections for customers supporting both direct sales and the B2B channel.
  • A flexible content management system enabling the client's team to independently update the product offering.
  • A technological foundation prepared for further development of the website, including multilingual versions and future e-commerce functionality.
